Here's some info I found on the Google machine regarding this event:
65,000 people packed Met Stadium on August 1, 1978, as the Eagles brought their Hotel California Tour to Minnesota. Pablo Cruise and the Steve Miller Band served as the warm-up bands. I was in the stadium that day, somewhere in the upper deck. Storms moved in and out. We all got soaked. I’m pretty sure I even spotted a funnel cloud off in the distance at one point. But we didn’t care if we got sucked up into a vortex. We were having a blast, and Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good” summed up our mood. It was the last major outdoor rock concert in Minnesota— until 2017 when U2 played the Bank in Minneapolis.
