    Description

    1 sheet - 7” x 11" x .05” medium sized sheet (17.8 cm x 28 cm)
    This is a very hard to find high-quality .05” thick (nearly 1/16”) 100% real celluloid with the classic vintage deep red tortoise shell pattern seen on so many pre-1970 acoustic and electric guitars. Each sheet is enough material for two large pickguards like a Gibson J-50 or four small pickguards similar to a Martin D-18 or OM, or a Gibson J-45 or L-00.
    First picture shown is a scan of a sample 5 1/2” x 7 1/4” area to show the basic faux tortoise shell pattern and colors. Both sides are factory finish only with some light surface scratches and machine marks on some of the edges. Tortoise pattern does vary from piece to piece. Most pieces are slightly larger than 7" x 11".
